OPS have purchased a new environmental control chamber. The chamber offers accuracy and reliability in the control of temperature and lighting. OPS can now offer the client access to most of the worlds climate conditions while eliminating the variability found in nature. First uses are for testing weed resistance to cereal herbicides.

Oxford Plant Sciences is pleased to announce the introduction of a new service for testing grass weeds for resistance potential to chemicals from the acetolactate synthase (‘ALS’) herbicide group. This group includes sulfonyl urea herbicides such as flupyrsulfuron, mesosulfuron, and sulfosulfuron.

OPS are pleased to announce that all trials were successfully harvested under the wettest ever conditions in the UK. In order to meet further demand for field trials and glasshouse testing OPS have appointed Di Geng. Di will be specifically responsible for glasshouse management, sample distribution and conductiong physical compatability testing for OPS clients.
